EAST COAST TRAIL LA MANCHE BRIDGE Waves destroyed the original suspension bridge at La Manche Harbour on 28 January 1966. The East Coast Trail Association erected this bridge in 1999. It was officially opened 17 June 2000. The bridge is dedicated to former residents of La Manche Village, many of whom resettled in nearby communities.
