Macfarlane Walter & Ross was a Toronto-based non-fiction publisher founded in 1988 by John Macfarlane, Jan Walter, and Gary Ross. McClelland & Stewart purchased the press from the Stoddart group in 2000, and announced its closure in April 2003; the imprint's backlist and rights to its current and future titles were transferred to McClelland & Stewart at that time.
